Crazy Adult Costumes

As an adult my taste in costumes has changed dramatically. The crazier the costume the better! I love to attend costume parties and be the wackiest one there. I will do or wear anything to be the life of the party.
Quite often I will search the web to find a new idea or a new place to get a silly or amazing new costume. There are so many places you can look that I like to include in my blogs the best new find for me. this week that would be Muffins Corner. They have a terrific selection of adult (not intimate) costumes. If you are looking for something for the bedroom this is not your place, but if you are looking for a fun adult costume this is my suggestion for the week.

If you are looking for a site that is easy to navigate and has a super broad selection to choose from. You need to go to BUYCOSTUMES.COM. They have free shipping with any order over $65 and probably the best selection that I've seen this year. To get your order in time for Halloween click here.

Creating Your Own Costumes

With the new GREEN movement the best option for a Halloween costume is to make your own from old clothing you have laying around or doing a costume swap with friends. The limits for costumes are endless! Your imagination is the only thing that limits you.
Many of the crafting sites have great ideas for creating your own costume, or you can use your own creativity to create a fun and inexpensive costume that "recycles" something that you would probably otherwise throw out. Make it a fun kids art project!
Crafting A Green World has an article about the National Costume Swap Day. If you're interested in participating on Oct. 9,2010 go here.

Old Halloween Costumes

Old Halloween costumes make great dress-up clothes for kids... and if you have enough, or their friends have a few lying around have a costume Birthday party is a great way to to squeeze some extra use out of these, even if their birthday is in April!

Have a super hero party or a princess party and everyone wears their old costumes or if you have enough let them get dressed up there. You can make super hero badges or princess wands or jewelry as your party activities.

For cake get a more generalized image rather than a specific character so all the little ones feel important even if it is the birthday kids big day. Nobody wants hurt feelings and tears.

Let your imagination run wild and save a few bucks:)

Costume Beginnings

Costumes are fun and used during so many occasions:
  • Halloween Parties
  • Christmas Parties
  • Birthday Parties
  • New Years Parties
  • Random Parties
And many many more! What I find more exciting about costumes is adding to the costume for example instead of a "Mad Hatter" Try a "Gothic" mad hatter or a "dead" mad hatter. Just so many ways to turn a regular costume into something more CUSTOM!

This blog I will be showing different costumes and talking about different themed designs you can choose from for random parties or even your traditional Halloween parties.

So please Enjoy!
